Zully Dorr oversees advancement services and operations for the Smithsonian. This includes information services and technology, prospect development, gift registration, human resources and talent management, policies and finance. She joined the Smithsonian in 2005 as director of advancement operations.

Before the Smithsonian, Dorr was the director of advancement services at Florida International University. She holds a degree in industrial engineering, and she worked in telecommunications management early in her career, both at the university and BellSouth Corporation.
